James C. Jennings uses a classical style to create his portrait
paintings. Despite this traditional style and genre, he presents
contemporary scenes and situations. His portraits are more
than just likenesses of his subjects. They present the subject
often in situ and suggest psychological states that explore a
range of emotions we all experience in the human condition.
Jennings is also involved in programs with children and youth
on non-violence through Art.
